Was pulled over by a black police officer who works for the Johns Creek Police Dept. He goes by Sgt Wilson, badge #016. He also drives a suv type of vehicle. He pulled me over for supposedly doing 60mph in a 40mph zone. This was false and he knows it. I was driving my girlfriends car and was not aware that she did not take care of her registration and insurance. I have never been arrested before in my 35yr life. However, Sgt Wilson wanted to make an example of a hard working African American and take him to jail for his first time. Really? I can see him detaining my girlfriends car, but why did I have to go to jail also? This was just another case of a black man with a little power trying to knock down another black man to gain the his superiors approval. It's okay though because I have my complaint ready to go and I won't stop my mission to make sure this does not happen to young African Americans or young people in general.
Officer MD Meberg came out to our event last night for the Retreat at Johns Creek. He was a fantastic and very knowledgeable. He told us how great Johns Creek is and what a great place to live it is. He spoke highly of the department and all the extras they do for the community. The entire police department is superb and goes the extra mile. I am married to a detective from another county and know how good his unit is and so I can see the extra the every Johns Creek police department puts in. Officer Meberg is a fine example of a great officer who loves what he does and is extremely prideful of his department, his county, and peers. Our entire community benefited. Hats of to a great group of men and women.
I want to personally thank Officer Smith of the Johns Creek Police Department twice. A few weeks ago, my daughter was in an accident and Officer Smith was so kind and caring to assist with the accident. Having your daughter in a car accident is one of the worst experiences a mother can face. Officer Smith was so helpful and kind. Yesterday, our new puppy, Gracie, got her head stuck in the rails of our deck. I couldn't free her and called 911 (so sorry if it took away from more urgent matters), but within 5 minutes, the Johns Creek Police Department was there - Officer Smith - and he took immediate actions to rescue her. This involved removing a railing from the deck. After Gracie was freed, he asked for a hammer to fix the railing. I couldn't find one immediately and told him we would take care of it later. Five minutes later, I heard banging in my back yard and there was Officer Smith hammering the railing back in place. He had met up with a landscape company in our neighborhood and borrowed a hammer. He is such an asset to our community and I'm so grateful for his caring assistance! There is so much bad news about police officers but I'm so grateful to have such an amazing resource in our community. We truly feel that the department is there to help it's citizens. Thank you JCPD!
Johns Creek P.D. does a great job holding events for kids, and women to learn defense and assess situations. I am very comfortable seeing a J.C. patrol car. They make me feel safer, I do not think they profile unless you give them a reason to. Have spoken to officers before and they are extremely courteous. I am only writing this review cause of seeing all the negative reviews, I think they should get credit for all the amazing work they do daily!! Thank you for guarding our community Johns Creek P.D!
If you get in an accident in John's Creek make sure you get the other persons insurance information before the police arrive. Police will take in insurance cards away and not share information with you for a couple of days. You will have to take more time off to go to the department to pick up report that they will charge you $5 for. What a bunch of amateurs. I would be embarrassed to work for them. Almost a week out from accident and my claim isn't even started. In the end I don't think they even gave the person who hit me a ticket. Real pain in the but. Don't drive in John's Creek if you can help it.
